Something that caught my attention was the cross-state collaboration between law enforcement agencies to catch Josef Toney. It's not often we hear about the behind-the-scenes efforts and the amount of coordination required to catch suspects who flee their state. I'm relieved they managed to apprehend him in Denver.
It must have been such a rollercoaster for the families waiting anxiously for news on the suspect's capture. My heart goes out to everyone connected to Jessica and Aerial — I can't imagine the relief mixed with sorrow they're feeling.
This just highlights the dedication of law enforcement to work tirelessly across borders to bring closure to families. RIP, Jessica and Aerial. Let's hope justice prevails, and such tragedies become less frequent.
