I’ve been following the case of Ricky Johnson and Kennedy Hodge, and something’s been weighing on my mind. It’s the role of the community in the aftermath of such a violent act. Clovis is a tight-knit place where people know their neighbors, and I can’t imagine how shattered everyone must feel right now. I’ve been wondering, how does a community come together to heal after something so horrific? I know the focus tends to be on the case, the suspect, and the legal proceedings, but it feels just as important to think about the community’s path to healing. Is there any support being offered to those who were close to Ricky and Kennedy? It makes me wish there were more resources made available in situations like these—not just for immediate family but for friends and neighbors who are struggling to comprehend what’s happened. Sending all my thoughts to Clovis right now. If anyone has info on community support or vigils, please share.
