It's so chilling to think about how forensic science, especially DNA evidence, changed the course of this case. I can't even imagine what Shania's family went through for almost a year before Jose "Satellite" Sanchez was finally arrested. Beyond the immediate relief of having a suspect behind bars, there's a poignant reminder of how important it is to keep pushing for answers, even when a case goes cold. The detective work involved must have been painstaking, but ultimately it seems the dedication paid off. I hope the trial brings some semblance of peace to Shania's friends and family. It's crucial that justice is not only pursued but also seen to be done. Does anyone know if the DNA evidence linked Sanchez to other unsolved cases? It's terrifying to think there might be other families waiting for answers that might finally be within reach.
