Just learned about the tragic loss of Zachary Reid in Farmington last year, and it got me thinking about the unresolved pieces of this case besides just the legal side. I can't even begin to imagine the pain Zachary's family, especially his father Scott, must be going through. Losing a child in such a violent manner is something no parent should ever have to endure.
It makes me wonder about the community's support system for the family and others affected by this. Do we have enough resources in place to help families in Farmington cope with such unexpected and violent losses? Are there community groups or networks that rally around victims' families to offer support and comfort during such unimaginable times?
For those who might be familiar with Farmington, or even similar situations, how can the community come together to support the loved ones left behind? Any thoughts or experiences shared could be really helpful. My heart goes out to all who've been impacted by this tragic event.

Hi, this is Zach’s sister , just wanted to point out one thing, Scott fled the scene from the small info I have gathered so don’t feel sorry for him he’s an awful individual.(personal opinion) just felt like I had to contribute that. It’s nice to know people care though and reading through the comments have reassured me he is not lost in the mix, I feel like this case got swept underneath the rug, nothing really happened and no new info out. I’m trying to just come to terms with the fact he is dead and nothing no justice will fix that. But there are a lot more cases like this and definitely needs more awareness. So thanks whoever posted this , and spreading awareness about it.

I’m really sorry for your loss, and thank you for trusting this space enough to speak up. Zach shouldn’t be reduced to a headline, and it makes sense that it hurts to feel like the case went quiet.

I also want to be mindful that there are a lot of details people don’t have (and that may not be public), so I don’t want to speculate or turn this into a debate about anyone involved. If you ever feel comfortable sharing verified updates or ways people can support/advocate respectfully, I’m sure many here would listen. Either way, I’m glad you saw that people care about Zach.
