Has anyone else been following the investigation into Laurie Weathers' tragic death in El Prado? It's so distressing to think about how such a respected member of the community could become a victim of such violence. Laurie served as a dispatch officer in multiple places and was apparently very loved. It's scary to think this could have happened to someone who dedicated her life to helping others.
What puzzles me is how little we've heard about any progress on identifying the suspect(s). I know gun violence has been a troubling issue in Taos County, but still, you'd think there would be some leads or information released by now. It makes me wonder how such cases can remain unsolved, especially when two lives were brutally taken. The silence must be so painful for the families involved.
