Has anyone else been following the case of Jacob "Boy" Cormier? I’ve been trying to wrap my head around the scene described at 1404 Betts St. NE. The details about the SWAT team involvement caught my attention, especially knowing how intense and chaotic those operations can be. It seems drastic and makes me wonder about the circumstances leading them to deploy such measures. It’s so unsettling to imagine the level of violence in our communities that warrants such a response, and heartbreaking to think about the aftermath for Jacob’s family. The damage left behind must have added layers to their anguish—on top of losing him so tragically. It’s striking how a place someone might have felt safe in can become the center of such devastation. My heart goes out to his loved ones who are left picking up the pieces and waiting for justice. Anyone here have thoughts on how the SWAT aspect might play into what happened that day?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Jacob "Boy" Cormier, and I can't shake the image of the house after the SWAT operation. It’s shocking to think about the destruction left in the wake of such a tragic event. Those busted windows and doorless entryways must be a constant, painful reminder for Jacob's loved ones and neighbors who are still grappling with what happened. I can't imagine what it feels like for them to walk by every day and see the physical remnants of that night.
I really hope the APD can bring some closure to his family soon. It’s unsettling that after two years there’s still no suspect or arrest. Sending thoughts to his family and the tight-knit community; they’re in a tough place right now with so many unanswered questions.
Has anyone in Albuquerque noticed any updates? Or maybe anybody heard if the residents have been able to restore the home since the incident? Would love to know how the community is holding up. Stay safe, everyone.
