I was reading through the details of the case involving Jenssy and Javier Hernandez, and what stands out to me is the location of the incident—Bailey St. in Lawrence. It seems like this was a place where people gathered, hopefully planning for a night of fun and friendship. It's so difficult to wrap my head around the fact that a space meant for socializing and joy can become a scene of such immense tragedy in an instant. My heart goes out to the friends and family who now have the burden of such a painful memory attached to that spot. Living life in the aftermath of such events must be incredibly challenging, especially when places previously associated with good times are shadowed by violence. Has anyone heard from the local community about how they're dealing with this? Do locals feel safe there now, or has the atmosphere changed because of what happened? I hope they find ways to reclaim their community spaces in Jenssy’s memory.
