Does anyone else find themselves deeply troubled by the way Kyrian’s case played out in court? I can’t imagine the emotional turmoil Lanisha Knox and her family went through, hoping for closure and justice, only to see Harris acquitted. It’s chilling to consider how evidence and testimony can collide in such a way that the jury finds reasonable doubt, even in a situation as horrific as this. It makes me wonder if the system, at times, inadvertently fails the very young and vulnerable who can't defend themselves. I keep thinking about the investigators and how a case like this must haunt them, too. It’s unsettling to see a legal process conclude without a sense of resolution, and I hope Kyrian's community continues to find the strength to demand more for their children's safety. Would love to hear thoughts on how the community can come together to support one another and possibly prevent tragedies like this from happening again.
