I've been following the tragic case of Carl Brown's death since it first happened, and there's one part of it that really struck me—the involvement and support of the victim witness advocate, Anite Cetoute, during the trial. It must have been an incredibly difficult time for Brown's family and friends, coming to terms with the loss and having to relive those memories in court. I truly admire how Anite Cetoute worked alongside them, ensuring they had a voice throughout the process. These advocates play such a crucial role in our justice system by providing emotional and logistical support to those directly affected by these horrific events. I can't imagine facing such trauma without someone to guide and support you through the legal complexities. Such professionals really deserve more recognition for their compassionate work in these challenging circumstances. My thoughts are with Carl's family and everybody grieving this senseless act of violence.
