Did anyone else catch the detail about the shots being heard before the crash? It just chills me to think that Manuel Ortega-Callejas was possibly trying to escape from something or someone when this happened. I can't fathom the panic and fear he must have felt in those moments. It’s so important that the community sticks together to help solve this. Silent Witness can be an incredibly useful tool, and it's so crucial that anyone who might know something, no matter how small, comes forward. Keeping the family of Manuel in my thoughts during this incredibly tough time, and I hope they find some answers soon. Does anyone from the area know if there have been similar incidents or gunfire reported recently?
I can't stop thinking about how terrifying this must have been for Blanca Fernandez and her family. It's unimaginable to think about how close her 4-year-old came to being in the room at the time of the crash. I mean, just imagine the what-ifs. It's a miracle no one else was hurt, but it doesn't make this any less of a tragedy for Manuel Ortega-Callejas and his loved ones. The community really needs to rally together to support both families during this awful time. It's so unsettling that there aren't any clear leads on who might have done this.
