Hey everyone,
I've been reading about the tragic incident involving Rasante "Tay" Osorio, and something that's been on my mind is the broad daylight nature of the shooting. It's truly unsettling and shines a light on how brazen some of these crimes have become.
One aspect that I'm particularly curious about is how this impacts the community's feeling of safety, especially for young people and their parents. I mean, if something like this can happen in broad daylight, it really challenges the assumption that daytime offers some sort of safety net. It's horrifying to think that kids can't even feel safe walking around their neighborhood in the middle of the day.
My heart goes out to Rasante's family and friends. I can only imagine the loss they are feeling. I hope by talking about how violence escalates into daytime hours, more awareness is raised to push for safer environments.
Has there been any community response or new initiatives to address this shift in crime patterns? It feels urgent that both the city and residents come together to find solutions and protect one another.
Stay safe everyone, and hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact that broad daylight shootings have on our sense of safety, and Tay's tragic death really brings this issue to the forefront for me. It’s truly unsettling knowing that such violence can happen in the middle of the day, when kids should feel safe walking outside. The rise in daytime shootings is deeply worrying, and it leaves me wondering how the community can work together to create a safer environment for everyone, especially for our youth.
I can’t even begin to imagine what Rasante’s family is going through. Losing someone so young and full of potential—it’s a loss that cuts deeply. I hope the Boston Police are making progress with their investigation, and that they have the resources needed to solve this case. We owe it to Tay and his family to not let this become just another unsolved crime.
Community involvement and vigilance are critical right now. If anyone has even the smallest piece of information, I urge them to come forward. We need to hold onto hope that justice will prevail, and that measures will be put in place to prevent another tragedy like this. Sending thoughts of strength and peace to Tay’s loved ones.
