It's been so many years since that terrible night at the Oregon Museum Tavern, and I still find it so hard to wrap my head around the senselessness of it all. Robert E. Hamblin, only 24 years old and with such a promising life ahead of him, had it all ripped away in an instant. I can't imagine the pain his family has faced, losing him to such an unexpected and violent act. It's remarkable how the community came together in the wake of the shooting. I've read about the bravery of the patrons who fought back against Moore that evening, and it's chilling to think about how much worse it could have been if they hadn't stepped in. Knowing that Robert is remembered on the memorial wall, surrounded by others who also lost their lives to violence, is a testament to the ongoing support for the victims' families. Does anyone know if there's been any recent memorial services or gatherings? It’d be nice to hear about ways the community continues to honor those we lost.

Hey everyone, I was reading more about the Oregon Museum Tavern shooting and came across something really touching. Apparently, there's a memorial wall at Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City that includes the names of Robert E. Hamblin and the other victims. It was dedicated by the Greater Portland Area chapter of Parents of Murdered Children. I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate how important it is to have spaces like these for families to remember and honor their loved ones. Imagine visiting that wall and feeling the solidarity of others who’ve experienced such unthinkable loss. It's both haunting and comforting to know their stories are preserved in this way. If anyone has visited the memorial or knows more about it, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Keeping Robert's family and all other affected loved ones close in my thoughts. Stay safe, everyone.
