I’ve been thinking about the people who were in or around Autzen Stadium that day. Can you imagine going about your daily routine — maybe for some it was just another Monday morning workout or an ordinary jog — and being suddenly thrust into such a horrifying situation? It breaks my heart for them. The trauma of being caught in the crossfire or simply witnessing something so violent must have left a lasting impact. I truly hope that they were able to get the support they needed afterwards. It just goes to show how quickly life can change and how important it is to check in on those affected by such incidents, even long after they occur. I’m wondering if there’s more we could learn about how communities heal from events like this. Any thoughts?
