Just heard about the case of Deborah Jean Payton while digging through some old Portland archives. It’s so frustrating trying to find more information when there seems to be a complete lack of details out there. Does anyone else feel like certain cases just fall through the cracks over time? For something that tragic to happen to a young woman like Deborah, you'd think there’d be at least some narrative preserved—not just for justice but for her family who likely still carry all those unanswered questions.
