It's been 18 years since Chauntee Lamont Johnson went missing, and I can't help but think about how tough it must be for his family every day. I was looking through some old posts and discussions about the case, and something struck me: the area around SE 87th Avenue and Division Street where he disappeared is pretty busy, yet no concrete leads or witnesses have emerged. Considering how occupied that area usually is, it's baffling that no one saw anything more that night.
I wonder if anyone who was in the neighborhood at that time might still remember seeing something out of the ordinary, maybe without even realizing it was connected to Chauntee's disappearance. It feels like there has to be someone out there with even a small piece of the puzzle. For Chauntee's family and all the people who cared about him, I hope someone comes forward so they can find some answers. It's a sad reminder of how crucial community efforts are in such cases. If you lived around there or know anyone who might’ve been in the area, please consider reaching out to the authorities. Every tip counts!
I've been thinking a lot about the potential last moments of Chauntee Lamont Johnson. It's so unsettling and sad to picture someone in such a chaotic and uncertain situation. He was last seen in the vicinity of SE 87th Avenue and Division Street—so, what happened after his car was spotted heading south? It's a really busy area, yet somehow no one saw enough to piece together his final movements. I think about all the people who passed by that night, unaware of the gravity of the situation unfolding nearby.
For his family, not knowing must be a constant source of pain. It’s been years and still, there are no solid answers, and the lack of leads is truly troubling. I really hope that as time goes on, someone out there with even the smallest piece of information decides to step forward. Even the tiniest detail that may seem insignificant could potentially help to unravel part of this puzzling case. If anyone reading this was around that area in Portland on July 22, 2005, please consider if there’s anything you recall. Justice for Chauntee would mean so much to his loved ones.
