I came across the case of LJ Irving today and it just really hit home for me. I can only imagine what his family went through, waiting over 11 years to see any movement towards justice. Particularly, I feel for his mother, Lucy, having to endure the loss of a child without answers for so long. I wonder what impact this has had on her life. Parents always hope to see their children outlive them, and with LJ being just 34, it’s a tragedy on so many levels. Also, thinking about the grandmother, Pearl, who likely leaned on her family during those difficult days. It's hard to fathom how they managed to keep hope alive for so long. Now with the indictment of Polk, I sincerely hope they’re finding some comfort in knowing that the wheels of justice are moving, albeit slowly. It’s a stark reminder of the perseverance and strength families of victims have to summon over the years. If anyone has more recent updates on the trial or knows how the family is doing, I’d love to hear. Keeping them in my thoughts.

Hey everyone, I've been digging into LJ Irving's case, and I can't stop thinking about how strong his family must be. I can’t imagine what it's been like for his mom, Lucy Mae, to go all these years without answers. The indictment of Jawuan M. Polk must have brought so many emotions to the surface for her and their family. It still doesn't bring LJ back, but perhaps it's a small step toward some kind of peace. What really caught my attention was the role of the grand jury in all this. For them to indict Polk, there must be some compelling evidence we haven’t heard about yet.
