Has anyone else been reflecting on the last moments of Steven Forsyth during the Clackamas Town Center shooting? I can’t help but think about how he was having what seemed to be an ordinary day, talking to his dad on the phone, and then his life was taken so abruptly. As a father and youth sports coach, Steven surely touched so many young lives with his dedication and kindness. It’s truly gut-wrenching to imagine the sudden grief his family had to endure, especially his children who lost a loving parent so unexpectedly. The randomness of it all sends chills down my spine. How does a community begin to heal from such a senseless loss? My heart goes out to all the families affected by this tragedy.
Hey everyone,
I've been reflecting on the Clackamas Town Center shooting and wanted to discuss the impact it had on the sports community, especially with Steven Forsyth being one of the victims. It’s clear he was more than just a guy at the mall that day. He was a beloved coach who genuinely invested in shaping the youth through sports. It breaks my heart to think of the kids who looked up to him and the gap his absence must have left in their lives.
The resilience of the community, especially the young athletes, is a testament to the positive influence he must have had. When I read about how his own son, Alex, went on to pursue a career in the NFL, I see a legacy of perseverance, no doubt inspired by Steven's dedication and passion for coaching. It’s a reminder of the lasting impact one person can have on so many lives.
I just wanted to express my respect for Steven and offer support to anyone who might be feeling this loss deeply. It’s important to remember not just the tragedy, but the positive force Steven was in the world.
Sending strength to all those affected. ?
Stay safe,

I've been thinking a lot about the victims of the Clackamas Town Center shooting lately, especially Steven Forsyth. I can't help but feel for his family, knowing he was just sitting there, talking to his dad on the phone, when his life was suddenly cut short. I read somewhere that he was not only a devoted father but also a youth sports coach. I imagine the countless kids whose lives he positively influenced and how his absence must be felt in the community.
The randomness of this act really gets to me. It's just so chilling that someone could walk into a space filled with families and friends and do something so senseless. My heart goes out to his loved ones and those who lived in fear that day, as they hold onto the memories of a man who clearly meant so much to them and to many others in his community.
I'm also in awe of the courage displayed by people like Nick Meli. It's a forced reminder that even in the midst of horror, there are those who think of others' safety before their own. While nothing can erase the loss or the trauma, I hope Steven’s family finds a measure of peace in knowing he left behind a legacy of love and leadership.
