Hi everyone, I'm just coming across the case of Lee M. Fields, who was tragically killed in Chatham back in November 2015. I’ve been doing some reading and found out that this neighborhood has long struggled with issues related to gang conflicts and socioeconomic challenges. It really got me thinking about how these systemic issues contribute to the cycle of violence and how difficult it must be for residents to break free from this environment. I can't imagine what Lee’s family must be going through, dealing with such a senseless loss. It’s infuriating to see how familiar this narrative is across many parts of the city, yet it seems the needed changes are slow to come. Community leaders have been urging for more police and better community investment, but are there any specific programs or initiatives in place right now that are aimed at addressing these deeper issues? My heart goes out to everyone affected by this ongoing violence. Any thoughts or updates from those more in the know would be appreciated. Stay safe, everyone. Amy1024
