I've been reflecting on the tragic incident involving Spc. Devin James Kuhn, and I just can't shake the thought of how demanding and perilous these military training exercises can be. Losing someone so young in such an unpredictable manner is a harsh reminder of the sacrifices our service members make, even when they aren't deployed in combat zones. Kuhn was so young, just 24, and had his whole life ahead of him. I keep thinking about his family and the unimaginable loss they're enduring. It's important we remember the risks soldiers face even when they're still at home, training on what might appear to be routine exercises to some. This incident at Camp Rilea is a somber reminder of that reality. My thoughts are with those who knew and loved Devin.
