Hey everyone,
I’m revisiting the Travis Seiber case and can't stop thinking about the role technology played in the investigation. It baffles me how the missing DVR and cell phone hinted at a meticulously planned crime. The fact that the killer went out of their way to take the DVR connected to the security cameras shows they were definitely trying to cover their tracks. It makes me wonder how many crucial pieces of evidence might have been lost because of this calculated move.
For his friends and family, not having access to that footage must be an additional layer of torment. Losing someone like this is already devastating, but the frustration of potentially crucial evidence being out of reach just adds salt to the wound. It seems like DePuisaye-Greene and Rogan knew exactly what they were doing. I'm curious if the tech angle led to any breakthroughs aside from physical evidence at Rogan’s home.
Did anyone else look into how often criminals nowadays use technology to strategically execute or cover up crimes? It feels like with Seiber's social media activity, this was a perfect storm scenario. Thoughts and theories?
Sending love to all of Travis’s loved ones.?
