Hey everyone,
I've been following Deante Strickland's case for a while now, and something that hasn't been talked much about is the heavy emotional toll this must have on his grandmother. From what I read, she was one of the people injured during the shooting, and I can't even imagine what it must be like to have witnessed this horrendous event in her own home. It's so sad to think about her trying to process such a terrible tragedy while also dealing with her own injuries. Home is supposed to be a place of safety and warmth, and for such violence to happen there is just beyond words.
I think it's important to keep her and the entire family in our thoughts as they navigate through their pain and seek justice for Deante. She deserves all the support and strength we can offer. Let's hope the community rallies around them during this challenging time.
I'm grappling with understanding the dynamics that could lead to such a tragic event as what happened with Deante Strickland. It's just so unfathomable to think that someone could harm their own family in such a brutal way. The fact that contractors jumped in immediately to try and save Deante's life speaks to the sense of community around him and the impact he had on those around him, even strangers. It’s heartening to know that people tried their best to help in such a dire moment. I'm hoping justice will give some semblance of closure to his family and friends. If anyone local has more updates on how the "StrickCity" game has been impacting the community, I'd love to hear more about it. It must be a powerful way to keep his spirit alive.
