I've been thinking a lot about the sheer amount of support Karen Schaefer's family must need right now. It's unimaginable to lose a loved one in such a sudden and violent manner. I can't help but wonder about the dynamics that lead to such tragic events. The community in Stayton must be feeling a mix of grief and shock. It's important to keep Karen's memory alive and remember her as more than just a victim of this tragedy. If anyone knows of any memorials or vigils planned for her, please share them here. Sending strength to everyone affected during this incredibly difficult time.

I’ve been following the Stayton case closely and something keeps gnawing at me. Has anyone else been wondering about the logistics of the police response? From what I've read, Karen Schaefer was found at around 7:30 PM after officers responded to a call about suspicious circumstances. It makes me wonder who made that call in the first place. Was it someone who heard a disturbance or perhaps a concerned neighbor? Also, how did the police manage to detain Brian Schaefer immediately? It’s almost as if they had some prior knowledge of what they might be walking into. I can't help but hope the autopsy will shed more light on what exactly transpired, but until then, we're left with so many questions. My heart truly goes out to Karen’s family and friends during such a difficult time. Losing someone in such a violent way is unimaginable. Please share if any of you find more details or have thoughts on the police response.
