Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Jennifer Garcia and Charlie Borbon-Lopez in Portland. It's just so incredibly upsetting to hear about such young lives lost in this senseless act of violence. I keep thinking about how this must be affecting not just their families, but the whole Cully neighborhood community. One thing that's been on my mind is the location of the shooting near the intersection of Northeast Alberta and 52nd Street. I've read there’s been concern about safety in certain Portland areas, and I wonder if there are any known hotspots for crime around there? Sometimes certain places become risky due to a lack of lighting, surveillance, or presence of law enforcement. This ongoing investigation must be so hard for the families. Staying hopeful that the police will piece together enough evidence soon. It's a tough situation, but perhaps we're seeing more community and police collaboration that could help solve this. My thoughts are with those who knew Jennifer and Charlie during this difficult time.
