I came across some recent footage from the neighborhood security cameras near 3403 Belvedere Street NW on that fateful September day. It captured the moments leading up to when everything went downhill. It's unsettling to think about how ordinary that day seemed before such a horrible act unfolded. My heart goes out to Ryan’s friends and family; dealing with this shock and loss must be unbelievably hard. Special thanks to the local authorities for apprehending the suspect so quickly, although isn’t it strange how Gonzales-Salcido thought he could blend in by pushing a lawnmower? It makes you wonder what was going through his mind at that moment. I hope the investigation brings some clarity to what happened for all who are touched by this tragedy.
