Does anyone else find it incredible how two young lives spiraled so far into violence? I was reading about John Juarez-Juarez and Yahir Cruz-Rosales, and I can't stop thinking about how Juarez-Juarez had already survived a traumatic shooting at just 16 years old. It's alarming and terribly sad that someone who experienced such violence would end up on the other side of a gun in a scenario like this. It makes me wonder if more could've been done in those early years to steer them away from this path. My heart goes out to Eduardo Garcia's family. I hope for healing for everyone touched by this tragedy and that our community finds a way to stop this cycle of violence among youth. Such needless loss.
