I keep thinking about the location of the shooting that took Sharline Esah's life. Portland has its issues with gun violence, and this happened in a neighborhood that's seen more than its fair share of tragedy. It's unsettling to think how gun violence seems to touch almost every corner of the city these days. My heart goes out to the family who must be struggling with not only the loss but the lack of answers regarding any suspects. It's hard to find peace without closure. Has anyone heard if local organizations are stepping up to address the violence in this area? It's a conversation that feels long overdue.
