I've been following Erick Lacey's case, and it's so deeply troubling to think about what his family must be going through. Imagine being so young and having your life cut short so violently. What stands out to me is the sheer number of shell casings found at the scene—seventeen! That level of aggression just reflects how dire the gang situation is in Chicago. It's frustrating to see that despite so many losing their lives, very little progress seems to be made in curbing this violence. It's disturbing that someone else who was injured refused to help the investigation. I understand the fear and complications of being involved, but at some point, where does the cycle end? My thoughts are with Erick's loved ones during this difficult time. I can only hope that somehow, more awareness and effort can be put into tackling this gang violence, so others don’t have to endure such tragedy.
