Does anyone else find it suspicious how little info there is about the suspects involved in Deputy Maynard's tragic death? I’ve been following cases like these for a while, and it seems odd that we don’t have more on who these people were or what happened afterward. It makes you wonder about the investigation process back then. This case happened in the late '70s, so maybe record-keeping wasn’t as thorough, or certain details just didn’t make it into the press? My heart goes out to Deputy Maynard's family and colleagues. Given the year, there might still be folks familiar with the local history who could shed some light or provide personal anecdotes. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has local stories or remembers how the community reacted to this loss. The risks these officers take every day are real, and cases like this remind us of the sacrifices involved.
