Has anyone else been struck by the incredibly short time Shayne Riggleman spent outside of prison between his release in March 2010 and this tragic event in September 2011? It’s so painful to think about how Kevin and Katrina Hudson, along with the other victims, crossed paths with someone who had such a volatile history. What kind of support system, if any, was in place for Riggleman after his release? It just breaks your heart to wonder if more oversight or resources for mental health could have spared Kevin, Katrina, their family, and the others involved. Thinking about their loved ones who have to deal with this unimaginable loss… I hope they’re finding some sense of comfort and support from their community.
