I’ve been following the case of the McDaniels' since it first made the news, and there’s something that’s been on my mind about the timeline between the welfare check and when Aaron was located. It’s apparent that the local law enforcement and agencies went above and beyond in their search efforts, and I can't help but be impressed by how quickly they coordinated such a large search operation. It's clear they were determined to bring some form of justice to Tim and Shawn’s family as swiftly as possible. Being a small community, I imagine knowing that the suspect was a family member added another layer of emotional complexity to the investigation. My thoughts are with the officers who handled this tragic situation with such professionalism and care, and more so with the family trying to comprehend such an unthinkable act. It’s just such a sad situation all around.
