On a grim Friday in November of 2015, the small town of Marlinton, West Virginia, was shaken by a tragedy that unfolded in a quiet home. Retired West Virginia State Trooper First Class Timothy Dale McDaniels, a 61-year-old White male, and his wife, Shawn Marie McDaniels, aged 59, were discovered deceased in their residence on November 27th. The couple had been fatally shot in what was determined to be a double homicide.
