Does anyone else find the time it took to arrest a suspect in Lawrence Sykes' case puzzling? I understand investigations can be complex, but over a year seems lengthy, especially for such a significant crime. I imagine the Sykes family had to endure a lot of uncertainty and pain during that period. It's a relief to know that the police were persistent and finally managed to gather the evidence needed to bring someone in, but I can't help but wonder about the challenges they faced. It makes me think of all the cases that remain unsolved across the country. Also, do you suppose the community's involvement was key in making this arrest happen? Anyone from the area who can shed light on how the local community reacted to the ongoing investigation? Thinking of Lawrence's loved ones today.
