Has anyone else been pondering the self-defense angle in the case of Nelson Maynard Mitchell's tragic death? While it's clear from the criminal complaint that Mitchell was throwing rocks at the residence, I’m genuinely curious about how this could play into the defense for Jeffrey Alan Wentz. It’s such a devastating loss for Mitchell’s family and the community, and I'm not suggesting this to downplay that at all. I’m just wondering if the act of rock-throwing could be seen as a threat that would somehow complicate the charges against Wentz. I know the law can be tricky when it comes to defining what’s considered a justified response. Anyone with insights on how these cases usually play out? My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.
