I've been reflecting a lot on the impact this tragedy has had on the small community in Mason County. It's truly unimaginable how a quiet place like Whitten Ridge Road became the site of such violence. As a close-knit community, everyone feels the loss and shock deeply, and it's heartening to see how many people have come together to support each other and the victims' families. It's difficult to find the right words, but my thoughts are with Ivan Lambert and Ricky Pickens' loved ones. They’re dealing with unimaginable pain, and the road to healing will be long. While we wait for justice to take its course, let's continue to uplift and support the survivors, including James Smith Jr. Stay strong, Mason County – we’re all hoping for justice and peace.
