Has anyone else looked into the memorials or tributes for the McAninch children in Norwalk? I came across their story while researching historical true crime cases and it seems like there’s not much out there to honor their memory. It's just incredibly sad that Max, Geraldine, and Murris lost their lives so young. I can’t imagine the kind of pain their family must have endured, especially with no clear answers or justice served. It makes me wonder if there is any local history group or effort to keep their memory alive? If anyone knows of anything, I’d love to learn more.
I've been thinking about the heartbreaking loss of the McAninch children back in 1937, and I'm particularly struck by the absence of any suspects or arrests in the case. It's hard to fathom how such a profound tragedy could happen without any clear accountability. Does anyone know if this case was ever revisited as cold cases often are? I can’t help but wonder if there are community archives or forgotten documents that might offer more clarity. It feels so important to seek justice or at least some answers, even decades later, for Max Leroy, Geraldine, Murris, and their family who suffered so greatly. Hoping newer generations of the town might have insights or heard family stories passed down about this event.
