I've been looking into the Morningside murders, and the dynamic of the three victims caught my attention. Freta Bostic, being pregnant, must have had plans for her future, which makes this tragedy even more senseless. I can't imagine what Harriet Isom went through discovering her son and two others like that. What intrigues me is the presence of Jesse Hanni, who was found fully dressed and wearing a winter coat inside the house. It makes me wonder if he might have been preparing to leave or had just arrived at home when the incident occurred. His position against the door suggests he might have tried to protect himself or someone else. The fact that there were no signs of forced entry adds another layer of difficulty to the case. Could someone have had easy access to their home, or was it a friend or acquaintance? My heart goes out to the families who have gone decades without closure. I hope that someday new evidence or advances in technology might bring justice for Freta, her unborn child, Billy, and Jesse.
