I've been following the Sunny Sramek case and I'm puzzled by the discrepancies in Coates' stories. Why would he change his account of where she was last seen? The initial claim of leaving her in the car at the Prairie Flower Casino and then switching to a gas station story just doesn't add up. The fact that he didn’t inform authorities when she vanished is even more suspicious to me. It's been so long, and I just hope that the FBI's involvement and the reward they’re offering will finally encourage someone to come forward with new information. It's unsettling when someone with a criminal past is involved, and yet there’s still no solid leads. For the family's sake, I truly hope they find some answers soon. What could really be going on here?
Has anyone else looked into the stretches of highway between Trenton and Omaha? There are so many remote areas along the route where someone could easily pull off without being spotted. My gut is telling me that something crucial happened somewhere between Holdrege and Omaha. Also, it really bothers me that there wasn't an immediate search effort right after Coates gave those inconsistent stories. I know that Coates has a past, but why wasn’t he put under more scrutiny right away? It seems like there's a lot of emphasis on where Sunny was last seen — shouldn't there be just as much focus on where she wasn't? Maybe someone missed a sighting of her, or maybe there's a chance she was seen with someone else along the way. If anyone's familiar with driving that route, any insights on probable stops or places that stand out would be really valuable. Let's hope we can bring some clarity to these questions for Sunny’s family.
I was thinking about the timeline when Sunny called her mom from Holdrege. If she made that call at 12:45 p.m. and everything seemed fine, what could have happened in such a short span of time afterward? Holdrege is only about an hour or so away from Trenton and still quite a way from Omaha. It's hard to believe that someone would willingly just vanish during a casual trip, especially in broad daylight.
Also, can anyone shed some light on the location of the Prairie Flower Casino and where that fits into this timeline? It's baffling why Floyd Coates would leave Sunny alone in the car if everything was supposedly fine hours before. Not to mention, changing his story like that only makes him look more suspicious. Really hoping the additional leads get followed up on soon.
