Leonard James Moore, aged 17, was tragically killed in an incident on October 7, 1978, in Winter Garden, Florida. Leonard, who was also known as "Lenny," had been out with a friend in the early hours of the morning, around 1:40 a.m., near Ninth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The two teenagers were reportedly throwing oranges at passing vehicles when a gray or grayish-colored car, possibly a Ford Thunderbird or Mercury, drove by.
