Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Jasper D. Williams and the community he was a part of. What stands out to me is how his untimely death has likely left a huge void for those who knew him. At just 19, he had his whole future ahead of him—dreams that will never be realized, friendships cut short. I wonder how the local community in Des Moines has been coping since that tragic day in 2008. Have there been any initiatives or community gatherings to honor his memory or address the gun violence that took him away? It's important that his story is not forgotten and that we continue to seek justice and healing for his family and friends. Anyone in Des Moines that can share if Jasper was remembered in a special way by his community?
