Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the importance of gun safety education, especially in light of the tragic incident involving Liesel Casto. While the community has obviously been incredibly supportive, it strikes me that more can always be done to prevent such accidents in the future. Given this was deemed a hunting accident, perhaps it's a good time to highlight how critical it is for both adults and young hunters to undergo thorough safety training before going into the field. I imagine there are many families in rural areas like Tama County who regularly hunt together, and investing time in safety workshops could be crucial. My heart truly goes out to Liesel's family and all those who loved her. The way they managed to come together with the community afterward says so much about the strength and resilience of people there. I hope we can all work towards preventing such tragic accidents by advocating for more educational resources and safety measures. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences with hunting safety.
