Has anyone else been following up on the details about that rest stop on I-80 where Ernest Kummer, or "Ernie" as his friends called him, was tragically taken from us? I've been traveling that route for years and always considered it a quiet, safe place to stretch my legs. It's chilling to think that what should be a mundane pit stop could turn deadly. I’ve read that locations like these usually have surveillance cameras — has anyone heard if the footage played a major role in the trial or investigation? It’s just such a shocking scenario, especially when you think about how much time travelers and truckers like Ernie spend on the road, relying on places like these to be safe. My heart goes out to his wife, Darla, and the entire family who now carry this grief with them. It's a stark reminder of how unpredictable life can be and the importance of seeking justice to honor those we've lost in such a senseless way.
