I’ve been looking into the tragic shooting of Karyree Henderson and Damiko Carr from Des Moines, and there’s something about the case that really stands out to me. It's the sheer lack of details that have come out about the suspects. Typically, law enforcement is quite forthcoming with at least some information once arrests are made, like age or residence of those taken into custody. But here, it’s like a veil of silence. It makes me wonder why that might be. Are there legal reasons for withholding these details? Or maybe they’re trying to protect someone involved in the case? I find it frustrating, especially for the families who must be desperate for any piece of information that could bring some understanding or closure. Has anyone else noticed similar delays or omissions in other cases? I feel for Karyree and Damiko’s families and friends who are left with this void of information. It must make grieving and healing even more difficult when you don’t feel fully informed about what’s happening with the investigation.
