Hey everyone, just came across the case of Anthony J. Chavez and thought I'd share my thoughts. It's really difficult to imagine the pain and frustration his family must be going through after all these years without answers. Not only do they have to cope with losing a loved one in such a tragic way, but they also live with the uncertainty of what really happened that day on Highway 189.
Has anyone looked into whether there have been any updates or changes in cold case methodologies in Utah over the years that might help solve Anthony's case? Given advances in forensic technology, like DNA evidence, it feels like there could be potential for new leads. Knowing that there was another man found wounded, has there been any more information on his account or condition that might shed some light on the events? My heart really goes out to the Chavez family, and I sincerely hope they get some closure soon. Let's keep discussing and sharing any info we have—it could make a difference.

I’ve been digging through some archival articles and forum discussions about Anthony J. Chavez's case, and something that caught my attention is the location where his body was found. U.S. Highway 189 is pretty remote, especially back in 1989. It makes me wonder if the location was chosen deliberately to avoid witnesses or if it was just a matter of convenience. Was it meant as a drop-off spot because of its seclusion, maybe? I can't imagine what Anthony’s family has been through all these years without answers. It’s frustrating to think that even with another person found wounded at the scene, there haven't been any public leads. Has anyone come across more info or theories about why Highway 189 was chosen? Hoping for justice for Anthony and some peace for his loved ones.
