I’ve been thinking about the incredible courage Trooper Dennis Lavelle Lund displayed during that tragic incident on June 16, 1993. Can you imagine the strength it must have taken to remain focused and steer his patrol car to safety after being fatally wounded? It's a clear indication of his dedication and bravery as a law enforcement officer. He truly embodied the duty to protect and serve, even in his final moments. It’s so devastating for his family and colleagues to lose someone so committed and caring. I hope his family, especially his wife and children, have found some peace over the years knowing how much of a hero he was. Keeping them in my thoughts today.
