I’ve been following this case for a while now, and there’s something I just can’t shake when I think about Misty. I read that Vicky Smith, the neighbor, was completely rattled by one of the bullets coming through her wall. I can't even imagine how terrifying that must have been. It's like, in an instant, her apartment — a place she probably felt safe — turned into a crime scene of its own.
I really feel for Misty’s neighbors. They’ve got to live with that trauma and the memory of those sounds and sights whenever they’re at home. It’s so chilling. If there's any silver lining, it’s that Vicky’s quick call to 911 might have helped get Tristan caught faster. Her courage in that moment deserves recognition. This case is just a tragedy on so many levels. Misty's family and friends aren't alone in this; her community feels it too.
I can’t stop thinking about the neighbor, Vicky Smith, and what she must have gone through. Living right next door and hearing those screams and gunshots must have been terrifying. It's unimaginable to think about a bullet entering her apartment. I hope she has the support she needs to process all this trauma. Did anyone ever hear anything about how she's doing now? It’s a reminder of how crime doesn't just affect the direct victims but can impact the entire community. Sending thoughts to everyone touched by this tragedy.
I can't stop thinking about Vicky Smith, the neighbor who heard everything and made that crucial 911 call. It must have been terrifying to hear those screams and gunshots, not to mention the bullet that actually went through her wall. I can't imagine how scared she must have felt, and yet she still did the right thing by immediately contacting the police. It's amazing that she stayed so composed during her testimony. What Vicky went through is traumatic, and she likely saved lives or prevented further violence by acting quickly. Sending her strength and gratitude for her bravery. This whole situation is just so tragic, and my heart goes out to Misty's family and friends. They deserve peace and justice for what happened to her.
