I've been following this tragic case of little Aubreyana Ethel, and I can't stop thinking about the tragic consequences of systemic failure. It seems like there were warning signs and previous complaints that could have led to earlier intervention. When the system gets involved, you hope it means protection and oversight, not looking the other way. It’s incredibly frustrating and infuriating to see how a history of reports didn't result in meaningful protection for Aubreyana and her siblings. I wonder if there were enough resources dedicated to this family after the initial allegations or if they were just given a pamphlet and sent on their way. My heart goes out to Aubreyana's siblings; I hope they’re now receiving the care and love that every child deserves. It's so important for us to keep advocating for systemic changes to prevent such tragedies in the future.
