I was reading about the tragic events surrounding the murder of Agent Jared Francom, and one thing that really stood out to me was the response of the Ogden community after his passing. It's clear that Jared left a significant mark on those around him, not just as a law enforcement officer but as a member of the community. Renaming the Ogden Public Safety Building to the Francom Public Safety Building feels like such a meaningful gesture. It’s a somber reminder of the risks taken by those in law enforcement while honoring the dedication and ultimate sacrifice Agent Francom made. I can't imagine the mix of pride and grief his family must feel whenever they see his name there. Hopefully, it provides them and others who served with him with a bit of solace in knowing his legacy continues to impact the community positively.
