I've been following the Nicholas Colt Vigil case for some time now and something that's been nagging at me is the condition of his pickup truck when it was found. The fact that it was left in Weitchpec for weeks and had been broken into really stands out. Weitchpec is off the beaten path, which makes me wonder if the truck's location is a clue in itself. Did Nicholas end up there willingly, or was he forced? It's strange that he didn't connect with anyone in Blue Lake right before that last phone ping. Also, if he won money in Vegas, perhaps someone followed him back with bad intentions? I wish we had more info on his Las Vegas trip—like who he was with or if he mentioned any plans after getting back. It's frustrating seeing all these pieces just out of reach. Anyone local to the Fortuna or Weitchpec areas heard anything through the grapevine?
