I was really moved when I heard about the efforts made by the students and staff at Canyons Transition Academy in honor of Lynette Billeter. It’s clear she left a lasting impact on those around her. From what I’ve read, she wasn’t just a teacher, she was a mentor and a friend to her students. They’ve been holding memory circles, sharing stories about her gentle guidance and how she made every student feel valued. It must be incredibly hard for the students; losing someone who played such a pivotal role in their lives must be devastating. I never met Lynette, but hearing how invested she was in these kids and how she's being remembered just shows the kind of person she was. My thoughts are with her family, friends, and everyone at the academy. How are the students coping with all of this?
