Seeing the recent developments in Eddie Harp's case truly makes me reflect on the justice system's complexities and flaws. I can only imagine the trauma and ongoing grief Eddie's family has endured all these years, not fully understanding why Eddie was taken from them. What deeply disturbs me is how Sheila McCray’s eyewitness account was disregarded in favor of testimony that turned out to be coerced. Why wasn’t her description given more weight to start with? Her evidence could have turned the tide from the get-go. It's troubling, thinking about all this evidence and testimony that was ignored or mishandled. My heart goes out to Eddie’s family—they never got the closure they deserved. Here's hoping they find some answers and peace moving forward, and that we see justice done correctly in any future proceedings.
